Writing Workshop: Reimagining Wintertime

How can we take the darkness of the season and turn it into the opportunity for renewal? In this workshop, we’ll explore poetry and prose pieces celebrating wintertime. We'll have an inspired discussion and individual writing time, with the opportunity to share works at the end. All writers and all levels welcome!

This workshop is part of our "Beat the January Blues" event schedule, aiming to bring community together in this often gloomy month and celebrate our reopening after completing our renovations.

About the facilitator

Mikayla Elias is an American poet living in London. They are the author of the collection bending toward the light and have recently completed a Master’s of Arts in Creative Writing at Queen Mary, University of London. Their writing leans on providing a space to process trauma and pressing towards intersectional equity.
